Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse - Vancouver

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Birthing Unit team at BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre in Vancouver.

About the Role:
  • This is a challenging yet rewarding position for a skilled nurse who wants to make a difference in the lives of new mothers and their babies.
  • You will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience in perinatal nursing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide individualized care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies as needed.
  4. Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance your nursing practice.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Recent experience (at least 2 years) in perinatal nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current CPR and Newborn Resuscitation Certification (NRP).
  • Breastfeeding course, minimum 6 hours, within the last 2 years.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
