At Riverbend Co-op, we are seeking a skilled Bulk Petroleum Delivery Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering fuel to customers in a timely and professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver product to customers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain all required documentation
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer requirements in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure all loading and unloading procedures are followed, prioritizing the safe and proper handling of fuel
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned unit, adhering to the truck service and maintenance schedule
  • Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial laws and regulations, including Transport Canada and Environment Canada
  • Excellent driving ability in all weather conditions, with a safe driving record and clean Driver's Abstract
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow a tight schedule
  • Ability to understand and follow proper accident/incident response protocol
  • Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a cost-efficient manner

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class 1A)
  • Safe driving record and clean Driver's Abstract, which must be updated annually
  • Ability to perform regular heavy lifting and bending, up to 25 kilograms (50 pounds)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, energy, initiative, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively, with mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time, resolving problems independently
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace, prioritizing safety above all else
