**Job Title**: Project Manager

**Job purpose**:Manage the full cycle of multiple irrigation projects including planning, design, construction, and project review.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Critical information is available and communicated to sales, projects, and installation teams
- Track and report metrics for efficiency, team capacity, and profitability
- Add or adjust processes to ensure efficiency and accountability
- Supervise all team members: keep teams united, motivated, and accountable to goals and deadlines
- Troubleshoot issues to determine the best solution for each customer (weather related delays, material sourcing issues, other problems as they arise)
- Ensures the smooth execution and delivery of projects as promised to clients
- Keep and maintain open communication with client
- Keep a good relationship with sub contractors and supervisors, with clear communication and expectations
- Ensure all required parts for installation are on site when needed
- Commission and proper hand-off to clients
- Meet deadlines
- Progress and final billing are completed according to agreed payment terms
- Frequent communication with Outside Sales guys
- Ensure timely maintenance of equipment as needed
- Training on the job and as needed; attend company training and engage in skill upgrading programs for personal development
- Expected hours required: April to September (60hrs per week) and October to March (40hrs per week)

**Competencies**
- Minimum 2 years project management experience
- Civil Construction, Engineering, Agricultural or irrigation experience is an asset
- Effective communicator of critical and timely information (written, digital, verbal)
- Customer focus: understand customer drivers, goals, ROI
- Effective team leader: able to motivate team members, gain their respect, and develop their careers
- Adaptable: able to flex to new circumstances and still achieve goals

**Skills**
- Proven ability to manage teams and people
- A good sense of logic (practical)
- Organization and time management
- Familiar with or motivated to become familiar with:

- All types of irrigation systems (pivots, laterals, hose reels, drip, greenhouse, market garden)
- Variable frequency drives - calibration/troubleshooting
- Pumps - installation/priming/troubleshooting
- Plumbing - cutting/gluing/assembling manifolds
- Controls (become familiar with all types of irrigation controllers (Rainbird/Hunter/HIT/TWIG/Ranch/Fieldnet/Ocmis)
- Principles of Irrigation - basic understanding of irrigation systems or willing to train on irrigation systems
- Low voltage electrical (24VAC and 24VDC) knowledge
- High voltage electrical (motor voltage, phases, amperage, etc.)
