Console Programmer for Tactical RPGs

At Frontier, we're seeking a skilled Console Programmer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation Tactical RPGs. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the game runs flawlessly on Xbox and PS5, identifying performance bottlenecks, and optimizing the game for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our Technical Director to identify new tasks and optimize game performance
  • Develop and implement new features that take advantage of each platform's unique capabilities
  • Work closely with the team to encourage coding and development practices that lead to exemplary console performance and experience
  • Experience shipping multiple titles on Xbox and PlayStation consoles
  • Good programming skills using C++ and C# in a large codebase
  • Stay up-to-date with new game technologies and best practices
Requirements:
  • Experience with other major game engines
  • Passion for strategy games, particularly turn-based games
  • Experience with Github or other version control software
