About the Role:

The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto seeks a highly skilled anesthesiologist to fulfill a strategic role within the department. The successful candidate will provide exceptional anesthetic care throughout the hospital programs, supervising and teaching students, residents, and fellows. On-call services will be provided in rotation, and participation in formal in-house and University teaching programs is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthetic care in various hospital programs
  • Supervise and teach students, residents, and fellows
  • Participate in formal teaching programs and hospital administrative duties
  • Facilitate research, teaching, and education by others

Requirements:

  • Medical degree
  • Postgraduate fellowship training
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anaesthesia or international equivalent
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
