Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Railcar Inspector to join our team at our Montreal facility. As a Railcar Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections on various types of railcars and equipment, ensuring compliance with GATX guidelines, regulations, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inbound and outbound inspections on railcars and equipment
- Maintain certifications and prepare accurate estimates of repairs
- Select materials and create documentation for repairs
- Perform Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and prework activities
- Calibrate and maintain gauges
- High school diploma and 2-5 years of experience in inspection or railcar repair
- Knowledge of technical instructions, improvement orders, and maintenance instructions
- Ability to read and understand technical documents
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
