Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Railcar Inspector to join our team at our Montreal facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on railcars to ensure they meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inbound and outbound inspections on railcars and equipment in accordance with GATX guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain certifications necessary for routine and non-periodic inspections.
- Prepare accurate estimates of repairs and select materials for the estimation process.
- Perform Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and prework activities to facilitate the inspection process.
- Create add-ons and supplements by selecting materials and considering technical notices and maintenance instructions.
- Complete documentation to ensure accurate billing and communication of completed repairs.
- High school diploma and 2-5 years of experience in inspection, railcar repair, or related activities.
- Knowledge of Technical Instructions (EN), Improvement Orders (IO), and Maintenance Instructions (FM).
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and procedures.
