Job Summary:

UPS is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at our Vancouver Hub Facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of package delivery vehicles and tractor-trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License (BC Class 5 is mandatory).
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification (Certificate of Qualification/Inter-provincial Red-Seal).
  • Experience in Diesel Engines, Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems, Steering, Brakes and Suspensions.
  • Experience in the maintenance of both Standard and Automatic Transmissions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Must be Bondable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Propane-Fueled Engines and in Fleet Maintenance.
  • Validated experienced apprenticeship.
