About the Role

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team at the Vancouver Branch. This position reports to the Facilities Operations Manager and requires an independent and reliable individual to perform the responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment, including saws, shears, brake presses, vacuum lifters, CNC equipment, cranes, engines, pneumatic systems, forklifts, fleet vehicles, and small engines.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment, rebuilds, system modifications, and upgrades.
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions to ensure the smooth operation of machines and building systems.
  • Maintain records of work performed, repairs, labor hours, and materials consumed.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment and that work practices are compliant with WorkSafe BC and CSA safety standards.
Requirements
  • Experience in a related field is an asset, with skills in mechanical knowledge, tool usage, and materials.
  • A hardworking and reliable team player with a Class 5 driver's license.
  • Welding experience and Red Seal certification are considered assets.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills are also considered an asset.
