Emergency Department Physician

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. This is a full-time opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing leadership in the resuscitation and stabilization of major trauma patients and critically ill patients. You will also be expected to assess and manage a wide range of emergency medicine presentations, from minor to major injuries, unexpected and undifferentiated medical and surgical illnesses, and mental health emergencies.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership in the resuscitation and stabilization of major trauma patients and critically ill patients
- Assess and manage a wide range of emergency medicine presentations, including minor to major injuries, unexpected and undifferentiated medical and surgical illnesses, and mental health emergencies
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) for specialists
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Current PALS Certification
- Current ATLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
