Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fund Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full reporting life cycle of a portfolio of funds and assets, including recording journal entries, preparing trial balances, financial statements, investor quarterly reports, partners' capital account statements, and other custom reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the corporate finance team to process vendor invoices, including conducting due diligence on new vendors, verifying payment details, and setting up new deals in Investran.
- Record quarterly investment valuation updates and associated incentive fee accruals.
- Prepare and issue investor capital calls and distributions, coordinating with internal teams for timely issuance. This includes preparing cash forecasts, calculating investor allocations, recording journal entries, and generating notices.
- Prepare expense back-up documentation to summarize and assist in monitoring and analyzing fund expenses.
- Prepare quarterly carried interest, performance fee, and management fee calculations.
- Provide analysis and support for the Infrastructure Team, including preparing AGM materials, responding to investor queries, assisting with due diligence requests, and issuing investor updates.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in asset management or private markets investments, with direct experience in financial reporting for investment funds and fund entities.
- CPA designation preferred, or actively working towards obtaining one.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently resolve issues and dive deep into data.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive in researching and resolving issues, with the ability to develop recommendations and execute on tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Prior experience with the Investran accounting system is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
