About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Karigars Interiors Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Conduct site surveys to determine the layout and requirements of the project
    • Prepare detailed layouts and plans in accordance with building codes and regulations
  • Construction
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Finishing Touches
    • Install and finish interior and exterior trim, doors, and windows
    • Apply finishes such as paint, varnish, and stain to wood surfaces
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to residential and commercial properties
    • Identify and report any defects or issues with the construction or renovation of properties
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
    • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process
  • Professional Development
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
