Key Responsibilities- Pre-construction
- Develop and implement detailed layouts and plans in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Conduct site surveys and measurements to ensure accurate construction.
- Construction
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
- Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Quality Control
- Inspect and test construction work to ensure it meets our high standards.
- Identify and report any defects or issues to the project manager.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide guidance and training to junior carpenters and apprentices.
- Administrative Tasks
- Estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Maintain accurate records of construction progress and materials used.
- 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Permanent employment.
- English language proficiency.
- 40 hours of work per week.
