We are seeking a skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at Yukon Consultants Inc.

Job Summary

This is a full-time permanent position with competitive salary and benefits. The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in networking software and hardware, with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. They will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
  • Supervise technical staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in network administration, preferably in a consulting firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of networking software and hardware, including firewalls, routers, switches, and servers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work as part of a team

This is a fast-paced environment, requiring strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. You must be able to sit for long periods of time and work in a dynamic team environment.
