At Royal Bank of Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Executive to join our team in Toronto, Canada. This is a full-time salaried position with an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$180,000, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for delivering first-line data defense and prioritization for finance and risk management needs across the organization. Key responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing critical data elements, managing metadata models and workflows, and ensuring adherence to enterprise data policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction to the data prioritization shared service team
  • Develop product-based CDE identification processes and methodologies
  • ID and manage Product-based Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
  • Define and capture Business Rules for CDEs and associated physical data
  • Manage metadata model and workflows requirements for U.S. regulatory needs
  • Delve into Data Prioritization needs of additional U.S. subsidiaries and Regulatory programs
  • Maintain effective relationships with lines of business, functions, and other RBC Data Management Offices
  • Support data management decisions across stakeholder groups to improve compliance with the overall data strategy

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of people management experience in banking or data organization
  • 10+ years of experience working with Finance & Risk Regulatory Reporting (CCAR, FRTB, CECL, BCBS-239)
  • Demonstrable experience with executing large-scale data/technology projects and regulatory programs
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong team building and people management skills
