About the Role
Fraser Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in Medical Imaging.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of CAD $40.83 - $50.94 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits including four weeks of vacation, 100% employer-paid benefits, and immediate enrollment in a defined municipal pension plan.

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, and small parts ultrasound examinations, observing patient safety practices, and maintaining accurate records. They will also participate in committees, teams, and approved research projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Receiving and preparing patients for testing
- Performing ultrasound procedures on various sections of the body
- Assisting in procedural rooms and setting up biopsy trays following basic aseptic technique
- Checking resultant images for technical quality and completeness
- Facilitating the workflow of designated work areas
- Monitoring equipment performance and performing quality control duties

Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized training program in Medical Diagnostic Sonography
- Certification with Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Demonstrated knowledge of theory and practice for Sonography procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, co-workers, physicians, and other health care staff
