Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)
Job Description
As a Technical Automation Specialist, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing integrated solutions using the Niagara Tridium platform. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and deploying integrated solutions that integrate various building systems such as HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management;
- Developing custom programming logic and configuring system components to meet project requirements, ensuring seamless communication between devices, protocols, and systems;
- Creating and managing databases within the Niagara Tridium platform, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficient storage and retrieval of information;
- Conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting of integrated systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system performance and functionality;
- Collaborating with project teams, including engineers, technicians, and stakeholders, to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver integrated solutions on time and within budget;
- Creating comprehensive technical documentation, including system design, specifications, programming logic, and user manuals to ensure effective knowledge transfer and support ongoing maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a system integrator, preferably working with the Niagara Tridium platform or similar building automation systems.
- Strong understanding of building automation systems, protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks), and IT networking principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is desirable.
- Ability to analyze complex system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
