About the Role

CIMA+ is seeking a highly skilled Traffic/Road Safety Engineer or Engineering Trainee to join our team in Ontario. As a key member of our traffic and safety practice, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including Vision Zero planning, traffic analysis and modeling, and road safety data collection and processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff to develop high-quality end products
  • Conduct site visits, field observations, and field measurements
  • Collect and process data in support of traffic and road safety initiatives
  • Communicate with clients and team members
  • Conduct research and literature reviews in support of various projects
  • Perform statistical analysis in support of traffic and road safety modeling
  • Engage with stakeholders and the public
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Traffic Engineering and Road Safety
  • 4-year Civil Engineering degree or Transportation Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada
  • Familiarity with OTM Books, TAC/MTO Design Guides, MUTCDC, HCM, HTA
  • Working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS)
  • Professional Engineering (PEO) is an asset
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individual with a strong desire to succeed
  • Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and have a client-centric attitude
  • Proficient technical writer capable of documenting road safety and traffic observations
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite of products
  • Valid Driver's license and vehicle are assets
