Our client, a prestigious boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver, seeks an experienced Chief Human Resources Liaison to support the Partners by managing the HR function and acting as liaison and facilitator for various departments and stakeholders.

About Our Client

We are seeking a skilled professional who is approachable, flexible, and reliable to oversee the firm's operations and employee lifecycle. As the ideal candidate, you have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working in HR departments, with at least 2 years of experience in a Canadian law firm. You possess post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing firm operations and employee lifecycle, which includes full cycle recruitment and selection of staff, onboarding of new employees, conducting annual performance reviews and compensation analysis, addressing performance concerns as needed, administering benefits and leaves of absence, managing staff vacation time, overseeing terminations and departures, and administering firm Policies and Procedures.
  • Running payroll in collaboration with the Finance Director.

You will work closely with Partners and the Finance Director to manage day-to-day operations of the firm.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working in HR departments.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Canadian law firm.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Superb leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • An open and flexible attitude.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a salary range of $80,000-$110,000 (full-time equivalent), which will be pro-rated to reflect a part-time schedule. We also provide comprehensive group benefits, fitness and professional development subsidies, and a collaborative and stable work environment.
