Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean program facilities on a regular schedule, including the hygienic and deep-cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and dining areas.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of garbage, recycling, and food waste.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure that amenities are locked when not in use and secured properly. Tidy entrance areas as needed.
  • Sanitation and Hygiene: Ensure that hand washing supplies are readily available at all times in facilities.
  • Customer Service: Respond to inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Reporting and Communication: Inform program staff and participating families about any accidents or damage to facilities that may occur during the normal course of cleaning.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Sanitary cleaning of all bathrooms, including all fixtures. Vacuuming and mopping all types of flooring. Scrub and sanitize all kitchen fixtures and appliances.
  • Additional Tasks: Sanitary fridge cleaning and disposal of rotting food. Interior window cleanings. Spot cleaning doors and frames as needed. Assist families with decluttering and organizing their homes with their consent.
  • Professional Development: Participate in working groups, meetings, and information sessions internally or with external groups.
Requirements
  • Experience: One year of related work experience.
  • Education: High school diploma preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proven experience in house cleaning. Sound knowledge of cleaning supplies and techniques. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to adapt to changing schedules. Excellent customer service skills. Punctual and reliable. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Certifications and Background Checks: A Criminal Record Check will be conducted on the successful candidate.
