Key Responsibilities- Maintain and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- Provide problem-solving services to network users, ensuring efficient and reliable network operations.
- Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network infrastructure.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
- Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication.
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance for maximum efficiency.
- Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts to enhance our online presence.
- Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines to improve visibility.
- Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers, providing expert technical advice.
- Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure our online presence remains intact.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in LAN administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Strong knowledge of networking software, hardware, and security protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
