Job Summary:The Front Desk Clerk will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and process group arrivals and departures.
- Room Management: Take, cancel, and change room reservations, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Front Desk Operations: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, and process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
- Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
- Computer and Technology: Utilize multi-line switchboard, database software, computerized bookkeeping system, central reservation system, and spreadsheet.
- Security and Safety: Follow emergency and safety procedures, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a hospitality industry setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
The Front Desk Clerk will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and will be required to maintain attention to detail.
