The Role

  • You will provide leadership to a multi-disciplined team, planning and managing projects to ensure all contractual commitments are met on time and within budget on our large-scale healthcare projects.
  • You will use your strong interpersonal and leadership skills, paired with solid financial acumen to determine required resources, monitor project performance, and forecast revenue for successful project delivery.

Your Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, develop, monitor, and control the scope of deliverables, work plans, schedules, and budgets for all project stages.
  • Work with Operations Manager in determining project staffing needs and recommending team members, coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle to ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
  • Develop a detailed work plan for all architectural disciplines, allocate hours to the work plan, and monitor project progress.
  • Lead an integrated team of architects in the quality assurance and quality control procedures for all deliverables, specifically the construction drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with contractor, sub-consultants, and/or relevant building authorities to address and document issues with constructability or owner concerns.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the client, contractor, and project team and ensure close client relationships are maintained.
  • Managing team hours on the project.
  • Managing business plans using Deltek, BST, etc.
  • Approving sub consultant invoices and preparing B+H invoices to client.
  • Issues project fee adjustments.
  • Preparing sub consultant contracts.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of architectural project work experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in large complex projects.
  • Must have client management and business plan management experience.
  • Familiarity with PMI framework and standard industry practices for project management.
  • Architectural systems design and presentation, permit and building code.
  • Experience in strategic development, project management, and client management is required.
  • Possess excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of project accounting is required to monitor project performance and forecast revenue.
  • Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Experience with BST and/or Deltek is an asset.
