About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Apex Healthcare Personnel. As a key member of our staff, you will provide exceptional care and support to seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes or communities.

Job Description

This is a permanent position working 40 to 44 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on client care, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times.
  • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and self-care.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in activities and conversations that promote social interaction and well-being.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Personal Support Work or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities.
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate required.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
