About the Role:

Arcadis is seeking a licensed Senior Structural Engineer to join our Toronto structural office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the structural design of buildings, industrial plants, and transit facilities. Your expertise will also be utilized in construction administration, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural design teams to achieve project success.
  • Coordinate structural design and construction with other disciplines.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders and clients.
  • Carry out structural modeling, analysis, and design.
  • Prepare and review structural reports and drawings.
  • Work closely with BIM staff to prepare drawings.
  • Review construction submittals, constructability, and staging drawings.
  • Coordinate engineering and commercial items with the construction team.
  • Conduct site visits during construction to review work for general compliance to structural drawings and contract documents.

Requirements:

  • Registered P.Eng with PEO, license in other provinces or US states an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on buildings and heavy civil underground structures.
  • Proven experience with complete design of projects including analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for complex projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes including NBCC, OBC, and CSA standards.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software including SAP, ETABS, SAFE, RAM-Structural, S-Concrete, Microsoft Office Suite, and Acrobat/Bluebeam.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
