Temporary Volume Counter for Mail Operations in Victoria

Are you looking for a temporary opportunity to utilize your organizational skills and attention to detail? We are seeking a Temporary Volume Counter to assist with mail operations in Victoria.
This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in helping their community and are able to work independently. As a Temporary Volume Counter, you will be responsible for gathering information about Letter Carrier routes under the direction of the Route Measurement Officer.
The successful candidate will have strong listening skills, basic math skills, and the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively. Additionally, they must be available to work for a minimum of 3 hours between the hours of 6:00 am to noon.
We offer a competitive salary of $23.82 per hour, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to supplement their income or gain temporary experience in the field.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in preparing offices for a volume count
- Counting letter mail and oversized mail in letter carrier cases on a block basis and recording the total
- Completing Letter Carrier Route sampling forms, obtaining information from letter carriers
- Weighing mail for letter carrier delivery
- Assisting with analysis using a calculator
