About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nutrition Support Assistant to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering patient meals, ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of nutrition principles and practices, with experience in food preparation and delivery. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that patient meals are tailored to their individual needs, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.

In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, following health and safety protocols, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver patient meals, ensuring that they meet high standards of quality and safety
  • Maintain accurate records of patient meal intake and any issues or concerns
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate in nutrition or related field (an asset)
  • 1-2 years of experience in food preparation and delivery, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
