Job Description

TIIKA CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Mount Piping Systems: Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports.
  • Select and Prepare Pipe: Select, measure, cut, ream, and thread pipe to required specifications.
  • Connect Piping Systems: Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment.
  • Service and Repair Sprinkler Systems: Service and repair sprinkler systems, including removing and replacing worn components and reactivating the system.
  • Measure and Cut Pipe: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
  • Test for Leaks: Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
  • Weld and Join Pipes: Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping systems.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in pipe fitting and installation.
  • Language: Fluency in French.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
