TIIKA CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team. As a Pipefitter Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in various industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities- Install and Mount Piping Systems: Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection.
- Pipe Fabrication and Installation: Select, measure, cut, ream, and thread pipe to required specifications, and join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment.
- System Testing and Maintenance: Test systems for leaks using testing equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Pipe Support and Installation: Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools.
- System Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace worn components, and reactivate systems to ensure minimal downtime.
- Pipe Selection and Measurement: Select the type and size of pipe required, and measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
- Welding and Joining: Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping systems.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in pipefitting or a related field.
- Language: Fluency in French is required.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
