About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Interventionist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Clinical Interventionist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to preschool-age children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate goal-setting processes with families to identify their child's needs and develop intervention plans
  • Provide assessments and develop, implement, and coordinate intervention programs to address parent goals
  • Work within an interprofessional collaborative practice framework to provide comprehensive care to children and families
  • Supervise and support Program Implementers in the delivery of evidence-based interventions
  • Participate in quality improvement and innovation initiatives to enhance care and services
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body in Nova Scotia
  • Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification
  • Two years of recent experience working with children with ASD and their families
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in intervention for children with ASD
  • Excellent clinical care skills, including assessment, development, implementation, and coordination of intervention plans
  • Ability to work within an interprofessional collaborative practice framework and independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal and external partnerships
  • Excellent time management, organization, and solution-focused skills
