Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at MS DRYWALL LTD.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, operating CADD and other computer software systems, and preparing estimates for general expenses and overheads.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of estimating procedures, including quantity take-off and cost monitoring. They will also be able to liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
- Utilize quantity take-off procedures
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction estimating
- Permanent employment
- English language proficiency
- 30 hours per week
