Job Title: HR Partner, Immigration and Grants

We are a dynamic and growth-oriented company, providing waste management services across North America. We are seeking a skilled HR Partner, Immigration and Grants to support our operational groups across the continent.

About the Role

This role requires a mature and self-driven professional who can support multiple stakeholders in a changing environment. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to connect with various levels of stakeholders, effectively manage multiple projects, and drive consistency in a highly operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide immigration-related support to clients, assessing requests and providing guidance on suitable immigration pathways and opportunities.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications and supporting documents with government agencies, coordinating legal advice and representation as needed.
  • Research and interpret evolving immigration laws, regulations, and policies across Canada and the United States, reporting and tracking client immigration cases and projects.
  • Ensure robust internal processes are implemented and maintained to drive consistency, visibility, and accuracy.
  • Sourcing and pursuing government grants and programs to augment individual and organizational objectives, preparing and articulating GFL's business case for various grants.
Requirements
  • A high degree of comfort in an operational and evolving business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and American immigration laws and policies, with experience managing immigration cases from start to finish.
  • Established history of identifying, pursuing, and obtaining relevant grant awards from various levels of government.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with project management experience and/or education beneficial.
  • Experience working with government agencies, non-governmental agencies, and third-party vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
