Technical Architect, AV Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our Smart Collaboration Product Development team at Lenovo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation unified communication video and audio systems.

Your primary focus will be on collaborating with software and hardware partners, such as Microsoft, Zoom, Google, Intel, and Qualcomm, to architect and design innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their AV needs and opportunities.
  • Working closely with UC software partners to design and develop next-generation video and audio systems.
  • Designing meeting room video and audio system architecture, including control and network components.
  • Creating detailed video and audio system specifications, designs, and building blocks.
  • Leading prototype development with vendors and feasibility assessments when necessary.
  • Creatively influencing audio and video feature roadmaps with collaboration with stakeholders such as marketing and business teams.

Key interactions will be with the Marketing and Program Manager team in the United States, external key partners, and top customer accounts/Channel Partners.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science, or equivalent, and 8+ years of experience in developing and architecting unified communication products or similar technology.

Preferred qualifications include a strong understanding of unified communication technologies and protocols, proficiency in AV system design, and experience with prototype development and feasibility assessments.

This position will be based in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC, and will be part of a hybrid work environment supporting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
