About the Role:

RhynoCare Inc. is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to a high standard.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect.
  • Transport patients between care facilities and provide assistance as required.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond promptly and professionally.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.

  • Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and sound discrimination.
  • Standing for extended periods and combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
