Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

IBEX TRUCKS LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods from one location to another, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, utilizing computer equipment and GPS technology.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations in a professional and safe manner.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Dangerous Goods Handling: Transport and handle hazardous materials in accordance with relevant regulations and safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Work Conditions: 35 hours per week, permanent position.
