Job Title: Shipping Supervisor

About the Role:

The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent shipping, receiving, and dispatching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and measure the effectiveness of warehousing activities.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Verify orders, bills, and inventory transactions for accuracy.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the warehouse.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to existing work procedures.
  • Coordinate and maintain fleets and equipment.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
  • Lead and manage a team of 15-20 hourly employees.
  • Develop and implement performance evaluations and coaching for designated staff.
  • Maintain records and report relevant information.
  • Ensure adherence to safety programs and promote a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar management position.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and data entry software.
  • Computer literate with knowledge in warehouse management software.
