In this role, you will support all members of the Construction team, collaborating closely with a Client Support Specialist, Client Service Manager, and Client Executive(s) to deliver exceptional service to our clients through precise and professional documentation.
Daily Responsibilities of a Client Support Specialist
Organize and print correspondence as needed, maintaining both physical and electronic policy files to ensure they are current and orderly. Manage cover notes/binders, invoices, enclosure letters, memos, and other documentation as required, collaborating with the Central Processing Unit as necessary. Prepare certificate lists during renewals and issue certificates of insurance as confirmed with clients. Create abeyances, inform the team, and follow up on outstanding items. Process incoming mail and direct it to the appropriate team member. Update the renewal list as necessary. Ensure all correspondence is accurate and processed in a timely manner. Update information in our internal management system, EPIC.Accounting and Premium Finance Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Client Service Manager to monitor and follow up on outstanding client accounts receivable. Work with the Accounting Department and insurers to resolve any discrepancies and related issues. Organize and prepare premium financing when necessary.Client and Insurer Interaction
Respond promptly and professionally to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters. Issue certificates of insurance based on client requests/contracts, ensuring compliance with insurance program requirements in collaboration with the Client Service Manager. Contact insurers to confirm coverage and make amendments as needed. Advise clients of any discrepancies between the insurance program and their requirements. Assist the Client Service Manager in preparing underwriting submissions and client proposals as needed. Obtain claims history from internal systems, the Claims Department, or insurers during renewals or as required. Request and follow up with insurers and clients for outstanding information, endorsements, or documentation as applicable. Conduct a preliminary review of policy documents and endorsements.General Responsibilities
Adhere to BFL policies and procedures, including security and quality protocols, as currently established and updated. Undertake miscellaneous duties and special projects as required. Support teammates to ensure exceptional client service.Ideal Candidate Profile
A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance or relevant educational background. Level 2 license or actively pursuing it. Highly detail-oriented and conscientious. Strong client focus and service orientation. Commitment to maintaining licensing requirements and continuing education. Excellent communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written abilities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and a desire for growth. Willingness to exceed job expectations. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.The expected salary for this position ranges from $52,000 to $80,000, determined by factors such as prior experience, location, business segment, and the relevance of the candidate's skills to the role.
