Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at JAG. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-in/Check-out
    • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring all guests are accounted for and satisfied.
  • Room Reservations and Management
    • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments to ensure optimal room utilization.
  • Guest Services
    • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.
    • Offer recommendations and assistance to guests, ensuring their stay is enjoyable and memorable.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Perform clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, as needed.
    • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff, ensuring prompt and efficient communication.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Operate a multi-line switchboard, handling guest calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and composure under pressure.
    • Stand for extended periods, moving around the front desk and hotel premises as needed.

    • Demonstrate a client-focused approach, prioritizing guest satisfaction and needs.
    • Exhibit dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with guests and staff.

    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
    • Language
      • English or French language proficiency.
