We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to patients in a variety of settings, including office-based and inpatient environments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and continuum of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and care planning.
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Work towards same-day or next-day access for the practice population.
- Collaborate with other team members to best suit the community's health needs.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
- Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
