About This Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Annapolis County. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to patients in our office-based setting
  • Participate in inpatient rotations at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless continuum of care
  • Provide care coordination and community-based care services
  • Build a strong patient base and achieve capacity within the first two years
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
  • Work towards same-day or next-day access for the practice population
  • Collaborate with other team members to best suit the community's health needs
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
  • Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details

  • Full-time position
Qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
