Manufacturing Material Coordinator

Overview:

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all necessary production materials are efficiently supplied to the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Material Coordinator will assist the Production Supervisor in various tasks to maintain a smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport materials, components, and packaging to meet production needs, including any auxiliary equipment required for the work area.
  • Assemble packaging materials as necessary for production.
  • Remove materials and packaging after the completion of production runs.
  • Clearly identify all job-specific items.
  • Ensure the forklift is in optimal mechanical condition for safe operation, including the completion of daily checklists.
  • Maintain timely delivery and organized storage of packaging and components.
  • Provide additional assistance to colleagues when time permits or as requested by the Production Supervisor.
  • Keep track of skid counts as required.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere of teamwork at all times.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment.
  • Comply with Quality and Business Operating Systems, as well as all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Complete any other assigned duties.
  • Adhere to the Company Value Statement and the Standard Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A secondary school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference for candidates who have completed some or all of a college-level program.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in materials handling is required, with preference for those with experience in plastic injection molding and/or assembly within an automotive manufacturing setting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Capacity to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
