**Job Summary**
The Night Auditor is a senior position at Coast Hotels, responsible for overseeing the overnight shift and ensuring seamless guest experiences. As the Duty Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for guests during this time, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues that may arise.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage the inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments to ensure accurate and efficient guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Process guest arrivals and departures, including registering guests, assigning rooms, and presenting statements of charges.
- Compile and review daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts, and vouchers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform daily accounting data entry and reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy.
- Run Night Audit reports and investigate any discrepancies, reporting findings to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and Accounting office.
- Post late charges and complete Food & Beverage Audit, journal entries, and credit card and city ledger sequences.
- Coordinate and complete back-up tasks, including running the night audit sequence and delivering audit materials to the Accounting Office.
- Prepare daily sales and labor reports, gratuities porterage distribution reports, and room pick-up and forecast reports.
**Requirements:**
- Secondary school completion required; degree or diploma in Hospitality preferred or relevant industry courses in Hotel Management.
- Minimum 3 years of Front Desk experience, with a focus on rooms forecasting and budgeting.
- Proficiency in Excel worksheet application and understanding of Yield and Revenue Management.
- Superior customer service skills and ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
