Licensed Industrial Electrician

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a vital member of our Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing facilities by conducting inspections, installing, repairing, and servicing all plant equipment, along with associated electrical and electronic controls such as CNC machines, press brakes, lasers, welders, and cranes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, assemble, install, repair, and maintain equipment or components that interact with electricity across all company locations.
  • Plan and implement electrical installations based on blueprints and specifications, ensuring compliance with established regulations.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to junior employees within the trade.
  • Maintain cleanliness and protect company property within the plant.
  • Follow all established safety protocols and procedures diligently.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Possession of a current Manitoba/Interprovincial Trade Certificate (Red Seal) recognized by the Manitoba Labour Board.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience in setting up machinery and tools, adhering to precise tolerances.
  • Proficient in operating all air and hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing principles (5S) is an asset.
