Industrial Laundry Mechanic

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Physical Plant Manager, this position is responsible for performing a variety of electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installations on laundry machinery, with an emphasis on electrical systems. The role includes responding to maintenance requests, organizing tasks based on priority, and maintaining accurate records of preventive maintenance activities.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of experience in industrial maintenance, focusing on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Prior experience in maintaining production equipment and building systems is advantageous.
- Experience as a Journeyman Electrician and familiarity with laundry machinery is a plus.
Educational Background
- A high school diploma is required, along with a Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Additional training or education in industrial electrical or electronics is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- A valid Journeyman Electrician License and a driver's license are required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with various types of valves and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, utilize ladders, wear personal protective equipment, and adjust to varying shifts.
