Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Langley Specialized Seniors Clinic. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide occupational therapy services to older adults with chronic conditions, promoting independence and safety.
Responsibilities- Conduct occupational therapy assessments, consultations, and interventions to maximize physical function and promote independence in older adults.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individual treatment goals, providing education and training to clients and caregivers as needed.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of direct clinical care and education, providing input to the team on improvements.
- Provide education and training on independent living skills, occupational performance, and environmental adaptations.
- Act as a client advocate, providing information and liaising with funding agencies and community resources.
- Maintain knowledge of current developments in evidence-based occupational therapy and geriatric practice.
- Assist with research and special projects related to occupational therapy and geriatrics.
- Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy.
- Two years' recent clinical experience in working with older adults or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC and eligibility for membership in the BC Society of Occupational Therapists and/or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
