About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at The Ranch House Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages
    • Ensure that all food and beverages are served in a timely and efficient manner
  • Kitchen Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
    • Assist in the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
    • Ensure that all supplies are properly labeled and stored
  • Waste Management
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
    • Ensure that all waste is disposed of in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner
  • Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen
    • Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset
  • Skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
    • Ability to stand for extended periods
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. The ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity is essential.
