Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Dining Room Server to join our team at Shiso Japanese Restaurant LTD. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Present menus and make recommendations to guests, ensuring they are aware of our daily specials and promotions.
    • Take orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Serve food and beverages in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring guests receive their orders in a timely manner.
  • Table Management
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, ensuring the dining area is clean and tidy at all times.
    • Manage table assignments and ensure that guests are seated in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the service staff to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure that orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Skills
    • Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Work Schedule
    • Work 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
