About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Gupta & Associates Accounting Inc. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and clients, as required.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and provide support in adapting to the Canadian work environment.
  • Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
