About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for customizing insurance solutions for our commercial clients to cover large, technical risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite commercial insurance policies to ensure accurate risk assessment and coverage
  • Collaborate with Risk Services and Claims departments to gain a holistic understanding of each risk
  • Analyze new business opportunities to assess risk profitability
  • Monitor trends and developments to identify areas of concern regarding loss ratio
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Underwriting experience
  • Completed or pursuing CIP designation
  • Strong customer service background
  • Experience with package/multi-line underwriting
  • Experience with cross-border and layered business an asset
  • Team-first mentality
