Corporate Safety Director

Metalogic Inspection Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Safety Manager to lead our safety programs across our Canadian and U.S. operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
- Lead Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Maintain Certifications: Oversee and manage certifications for the company and employees to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Drive a Culture of Safety: Provide leadership and training on safe work practices and procedures to foster a strong culture of safety and respect.
- Manage Workers' Compensation Claims: Manage Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) claims and ensure timely filing and follow-up.
- Investigate Incidents: Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Compliance with ISO 9000: Oversee and manage compliance with ISO 9000 standards.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure HSE initiatives are fully integrated into business operations.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and standards.
- Client and Regulatory Collaboration: Collaborate with clients and regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
- Education and Experience: Relevant education in senior-level safety management, ideally within the NDT, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing HSE programs.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. HSE regulations, with experience managing safety certifications and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and manage safety programs and initiatives across multiple locations, with excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to safety.
- Certifications: Certification such as CRSP, CSP, or equivalent is a strong asset.
